Will He Recognize Me ?

When the Lord comes after His own,
Will He recognize me?

Will He recognize me because of my efforts in behalf of children?
Will He recognize me because I go to church?
Will He recognize me because of my Bikers Against Child Abuse back patch?
Will He recognize me because I am often kind to others?

What is it that He will recognize?
Will any of those things do?

What will He see when He looks at me?
My best is as nothing and is not what He will see.
He could see my sins and my failures.
He could see all the times I did not care.

So what will He recognize?
What will He see?

Because I accepted His perfect gift,
The debt He paid for me.
It is the Blood of Christ, that covers my sins,
Is all that He will see.

That is the only way,
That He will recognize me!
