His Name

Yahshua the Christ,
Few know the name.
But the Lord of most Christians,
Is Jesus, they claim.

They sing and pray to Jesus,
And to Him they give glory.
Bible translations and hymnals,
A like tell that story.

Few actually realize,
Few ever learn.
It is Yahshua they worship,
And for that name they should yearn.


Yahshua was never call Jesus,
When, on this earth He did walk.
But when they speak of their Lord,
Today, it is of Jesus they talk.

I have often wondered,
What our Lord thinks about this.
His children call Him Jesus,
And His name they do miss.

If we love Him as much,
As we say that we do.
We would search out His name,
And find every clue.

It is not hard to find,
If we knew to just look.
The clues are all there,
Right in His book.

Although the translations,
Have hindered us some.
There are helps like Strong’s,
Research can be fun.

He came in His Father’s name,
That fact is true.
There is no “J” in Hebrew,
And that is another clue.

Psalm 68:4 gives the short
Form of God’s name.
Jah, actually Yahh is the clue,
Yahh, short for Yahweh, the same.

Strong’s points us to the name Joshua,
And the “J” to a “Y” corrects.
That give us Yahshua,
That should be in our text.

Yahweh, the self existent one,
Yahshua, God’s provided salvation.
These names should be made know,
In every nation.

But His Church is asleep,
Have they all missed the bus?
Yahshua, not Jesus,
Is the name they should trust!
